[Feature Request]: Examples and tests take a long time to run

Feature description

Examples and tests take a long time to run.
Many examples take more than 5 seconds and test take more than 3 minutes to run:

It would be great if the package and test could be faster. It would help with the development and maintenance of the package and the end users.
