Adding a missing node

I need to add a missing node, JWStringGetLine. how do I do this? most tutorials, including yours say, go the manager and Select Custom Nodes Manager button. the problem I have (I am using ComfyUi Desktop. I dont see the manager! I have Extensions but no manger, how do I get this or what do I do to load the missing node, JWStringGetLine?

I encountered the exact same problem with the same workflow. I resolved it by downloading the node file that contained JWStringGetLine.

Steps to resolve:

• Download this node: https://github.com/jamesWalker55/comfyui-various/blob/main/comfyui_primitive_ops.py
• Move it to this folder: ComfyUI\custom_nodes
• Restart your ComfyUI

Side note: about the comfyui-manager, here's what you need to do:
Open the .bat file that launches comfyui
Make sure this tag is included in the command line: --enable-manager-legacy-ui

It's the legacy-ui piece that enables the blue Manager button.
