The real R Markdown v2 + gitbook = bookdown

I have been watching this repo from day one, and I felt a command-line wrapper of gitbook was probably not a real solution. We spent a few months on actually replacing the backend of gitbook with Pandoc/R Markdown, and the package is called bookdown here: https://github.com/rstudio/bookdown Gitbook is only one of the issues that bookdown tried to address.

This is not really a Github issue for you. I just want to bring bookdown to your attention, and please feel free to close it.
