Cortex implements an adaptive Thermal Governor that monitors local machine thermal saturation and active process throttling. When thermal headroom decreases during heavy embedding and Graph RAG traversal, the governor scales batch concurrency down to serial ingestion, preserving responsiveness and preventing thermal degradation. |
