it would be nice to refine the log scaling a bit. At the moment, it seems that log-scaling is turned on by default for all variables. the problem with this is that temperatures in degrees Celsius should never be log scaled. In cases where the temperature value is negative, the scatterplot point doesn't show up because log-scaling returns an undefined value for negative numbers. ideally, log scaling would be disabled for all variables that are specified as "raw" in the "default scale" column of the Variables_ClimateBC_revised.csv file.
