sorting forwards and backwards

There is a great sort feature build in (temporary and permanent), but I would like to sort it forwards AND backwards. Right now it is just one sorting direction, but for example I wish to have my last items in the sorting list to be on top of this sorting list. Just a choice to reverese the sorting. thank you
