What is the best way to validate HX Stomp XL?

Thank you for your work on this project. What is the best way to validate HX Stomp XL?

• Is it just a "try it and see if it works" kind of thing?
• Would any captures help?

The only difference I'm aware of between HX Stomp and HX Stomp XL is the 4th snapshot. (Is this just a numeric value in the USB protocol? Does it mean there are theoretical hidden 5th and 6th snapshots that just have no UI, if we manipulate the pedal using this program instead of the actual pedal?)

Wow I'm sorry I missed this! How has the testing been going? The Helix Floor has more snapshots, but I wasn't aware that the stomp XL did. I'll look into that when I get home.

For any issues you run into, at this point just detailed logs should help me fix them! I can give you instructions for setting the log level if that helps.

I ended up just "trying it out", and the result was #2 . Because fretwire ends up manipulating the "wrong" preset, I haven't gotten very far in testing.

I will try to set up a development environment for collecting logs.

• How do we collect logs? If you prefer, maybe you can add instructions to https://github.com/john-baxter-dev/fretwire/tree/master/docs ; I can await that so you don't have to write up ad-hoc instructions.
• What logs do you need?

I am happy to help collect logs, both for #2, as well as any "general" logs you think might be helpful for validating HX Stomp XL support in general.
