Recently had a user try to upgrade the plugin whilst running it from their local webserver.
This does not work because the IPN post back URL give to PayPal is the site URL which in this case will be a local URL that cannot be accessed externally.
The upgrade procedure is fundamentally flawed because of this.
Alternative method of upgrade needs to be found.
