Automated Push Notifications via pg_cron

The 'Daily Tasks' are only visible when the app is open. Create a Supabase Edge Function triggered by pg_cron that checks for due tasks/harvest dates and sends mobile Push Notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to farmers automatically.

I'd like to work on this issue. I've been looking over the architecture, and using pg_cron paired with a Supabase Edge Function is definitely the cleanest approach here.
Since the project uses Supabase, using pg_cron alongside an Edge Function is definitely the cleanest way to handle this. Here’s how I’m thinking of setting it up:

• Database Side (pg_cron): I'll add a database migration to enable the pg_cron extension and schedule a cron job (e.g., running every morning) that triggers a net.http_post request directly to our Supabase Edge Function.

• Edge Function (Deno/TypeScript): Create a new function (like send-daily-tasks) that queries Supabase to check for any active tasks or harvest alerts due for the day.

• FCM Integration: Inside that same Edge Function, we can pull the farmer's FCM device token from the database, authenticate using a Firebase service account key (stored securely in Supabase vault secrets), and fire off the push notifications using the Firebase Admin REST API.

This keeps everything contained natively inside the Supabase ecosystem without needing an external uptime monitor or third-party cron service.
