Hi @y-nk, thanks for raising this question. Let me try to answer: Feature Differences: BetterCapture is an attempt to fill the missing "professional" screen recording features such as ProRes Codecs, content filtering, system audio + mic simultaneously etc. QuickTime might catch up in the future, but it's hard to tell how much priority and capacity Apple is willing to put into QuickTime. Community Driven: Beside the feature differences, BetterCapture is open source and everyone who is interested has the chance to either contribute or just fork the project and do whatever they like. I have a certain vision for this project but this can be influenced by people getting involved here in discussions or by contributing code. Hope it answers your question. In what angles this is better than native quicktime recorder?
I'm not asking to be the party pooper - rather, as I was looking for such a software and found yours, I was told at the same time that Quicktime can do it natively, and therefore i think it would be a good "selling point" to explain what bettercapture does better.
