[FEAT] Date separators in the main view

Can we get this as an additional view setting?

Having an endless flow of images is cool, but sometimes you want to distinguish batches of images with the same creation date (or maybe some other types of data).

I totally agree. You could add a "Separate items" option like digiKam has, for example by album, month, or day. By default, it could remain a flat list, as it is now.

I’ve thought about this before as well. Since Lap already provides both Calendar View and Timeline, I haven’t fully decided whether Lap should add a Date Grouping view yet.

I’ve noticed that some apps, like Immich, do provide this kind of date-grouped view, while Apple Photos takes a different approach and doesn’t really expose it in the same way.

I’m thinking it might make more sense to expose Date Grouping as a settings option. That way users who prefer grouped-by-date browsing can enable it, while others can keep the current cleaner layout.
