The e-linter is the newer Wifi stick, and doubt this is supported by pysolarmanv5 |

Thanks for your response. I managed to get an alternative HA add-on working, solarsynkv3 |

I'm trying to control my SunSynk 5K inverter with my Home Automation Green using this Add-on. I can control my inverter from the Sunsynk cloud, so am trying to use the solarman driver to connect to and control the inverter. I'm fine with low granularity as this is mainly to change the grid/battery settings depending on Octopus tariff announcements and EV charging times. Unfortunately the logs show the following error:
ValueError: Error loading config: invalid value for type, expected int @ $.inverters[0].dongle_serial_number
That is because my wifi stick (e-linter) in the RS485 port of my inverter has serial number: E47****9U89, i.e. it is not an integer value. The dongle hardware version: AEW2-0005-03 software version: 4790123B24R
Does anyone know a work-around to this issue?
Are there any plans to update this Add-on to support alphanumeric serial numbers?
(I suspect that because I don't have a Solarman wifi stick I don't appear in the solarman cloud, so this via the cloud communication is not going to work.)
Many thanks,
William Orme, Cambridge, UK
