One of the most important features in Obsidian is Links. I think one should basically just copy how it works in Obsidian exactly, same syntax, same functionality, makes it easy for people used to it to move to Atomic, makes migrating from Obsidian easy too, and its well thought out already, in addition, if one later wants to add eg. the Backlinks functionality, Links working the same as in Obsidian makes that process easier too.
