Feature Request: Continue Listening for Long-Form Audio Content #113

Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes. When listening to long-form content like podcasts or audiobooks, it’s easy to lose track of where I stopped. Currently, if I leave the app or switch devices, I often need to manually find the last timestamp I listened to, which is frustrating and disrupts the experience.

Describe the solution you'd like
I’d like a “Continue Listening” feature that automatically saves progress and displays a dedicated section (e.g., on the home screen) with partially played long-form content. This section should allow users to resume playback from the exact point where they stopped, similar to how streaming platforms handle movies and series.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Manual bookmarks or remembering timestamps, but both are inconvenient and easy to forget. Another workaround is keeping content open in background tabs, but this isn’t practical for frequent listeners or across multiple devices.

Additional context
This feature would be especially useful for long-form audio such as podcasts, interviews, and audiobooks. Ideally, it should support cross-device sync and clearly show playback progress (e.g., a progress bar and last listened time).
