Switching out of Plan Mode stops the TUI from printing new output

Bug Description

When switching out of plan mode using the switch_to_execution tool, the proposed plan populates the entire TUI and new output from the agent, including requested tool uses no longer display.
It doesn't seem possible to see what is going on.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start a plan for a feature
2. Answer the various questions during the plan
3. When the planning agent asks if it can start, you give it a confirmation prompt and the agent will use the switch_to_execution tool with the plan=..... input.
4. TUI no longer showing what is happening

Expected Behavior

Switching to Execution Mode from Plan Agent allows the whole Plan to be 'shrunk' (and probably expanded with a shortcut) and the execution agent starts correctly outputting.

I'm multiple tool uses (writes and execs) in at the point of my 2nd screenshot and the UI is still only showing the Plan. Image 3 shows Kiro is working, but I can't see anything that has happened

Why is this marked as duplicate?
Both issues report TUI rendering problems - the new issue describes TUI not updating with new output after switching modes, while #7471 reports TUI performance issues with full-screen redraws. Both involve the TUI failing to properly display current information to users.

Update: I pressed 'esc' on a request for a tool and the output started appearing and the 'plan' is now correctly getting pushed/scrolled up the UI and out of view as more content loads in
