There must be an issue with the lockscreen.sh, specifically the part that calculates the sizing.

We've set it to 1920-wide display. Could you try changing it to your monitor's width? If that changes anything, we'll have to figure out a script that also automatically sets that value to the screen's width using xrandr.

Changing BASE_WIDTH to 720 causes text size to increase. Seems like text size changes base off scaling. When manually adjusting the size, I can get it looking better but the text's need to be lowered to get more of a clean look in my opinion. Changing text size would be a fix for the sake of not having overlapping text.

Yes, the script is intended to change the font's size based on scaling. Though it seems that this script, unlike the Conky's script which has the same purpose, won't use the screen's dimensions as needed.
About lowering, that should be just as easy as inserting an empty space.

Changed the i3lock-color script to now use the screen's height too to calculate the placement , sizing and spacing. Should work now. Give it a try and tell if it now looks good.
