Description

Draft the App Store description copy. Key points to include:

• Compatibility: Tested exclusively with GoPro HERO10 Black running GoPro Labs firmware. Other models/firmware may work but are not officially supported.
• Core features: Multi-camera BLE control, synchronized recording, group management, configuration sync

Review Guidelines

• Ensure all references to GoPro make clear this is a third-party app

Icon & Launch Image — Trademark Concerns

The current app icon and launch image feature a cartoon camera that closely resembles the GoPro HERO form factor (front screen, lens, mounting fingers, blue/gray button layout). This could be flagged during App Store review as trade dress infringement.

What needs to change

• App icon: Replace with an original design that represents the app's multi-camera concept without mimicking GoPro's industrial design. Ideas:
  • Abstract multi-camera grid or array pattern
  • Stylized "F" for Facett with a lens motif
  • Geometric facet/prism design (plays on the app name)
• Launch image: Same — needs to not depict a GoPro-like camera
• Dark and tinted icon variants (icon1024 1.png, icon1024 2.png): Must also be updated
• Launch image at all 3 scales (launch.png, launch 1.png, launch 2.png): Must also be updated

Control multiple action cameras simultaneously from your iPhone. Facett connects to your cameras over Bluetooth Low Energy, letting you manage groups, synchronize settings, and start or stop recording across all cameras with a single tap.

• Create camera groups for different shooting setups
• Sync video settings (resolution, frame rate, ISO, white balance, and more) across all cameras in a group
• Start and stop recording on all cameras at once
• Voice notifications for hands-free status updates
• Voice commands to start and stop recording
• Auto-reconnect for cameras that drop connection
• Generate QR codes to configure cameras quickly

Compatibility:
This app has been tested with GoPro HERO10 Black cameras running GoPro Labs firmware. Other camera models that support the Open GoPro BLE API may work but have not been tested. GoPro Labs firmware must be installed on your cameras for BLE connectivity.

GoPro Trademark & Brand Policy — Requirements for Facett

Required Disclaimer (verbatim from GoPro)

GoPro's policy for third-party software applications states we must include the following text on every page where a purchasing decision is made:

"This product and/or service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or in any way associated with GoPro Inc. or its products and services. GoPro, HERO and their respective logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of GoPro, Inc."

This must appear on:

• App Store listing description
• In-app About screen (added in PR Add About screen and remove GoPro from system permission strings #78)

Trademark Usage Rules

1. Symbols: Use ® with "GoPro" and "HERO" in US-distributed text (e.g., "GoPro® HERO10 Black")
2. Capitalization: Always "GoPro" (not "Gopro", "gopro", "Go Pro"). "HERO" always in all caps
3. Never use as nouns: Don't say "a GoPro" — say "a GoPro® camera"
4. Prominence: Do not display "GoPro" or "HERO" more prominently than "Facett"
5. No logos: Do not use GoPro's logos or copyrighted assets without written permission
6. No trade dress: Do not copy, alter or imitate GoPro's trade dress, color scheme, products, packaging, icons — this applies directly to our current app icon and launch image which mimic the HERO form factor
7. Compatibility claims must be factual: OK to say "Can be used with GoPro® HERO10 cameras" if true

Action Items

• Update About screen disclaimer to use GoPro's exact required language
• Add ® symbol to "GoPro" and use all-caps "HERO" in all user-facing text
• Update App Store description to use required disclaimer verbatim
• Replace app icon and launch image — current design imitates GoPro trade dress (camera shape, colors, mounting fingers), which GoPro explicitly prohibits
• Audit for any use of "a GoPro" (noun form) — should be "a GoPro® camera"
