Love the project. Would be cool to visually have it closer to palantir gotham and simplify it in that way also. Take a look at conflictly.app. It's a child's toy compared to what you have built but visually and functionally it has a couple cool ideas.

Suggestions;

• 4K support/scaling options. I have to squint to use it currently.
• 3D globe like google earth/gotham. Transition to flat map when zoomed to a certain range. Different sat imagery options etc. Maintain performance by limiting your layers within specific zoom levels.
• Different tabs/pages. I.e. Simple dashboard with map, HUD and basic information boxes. Clicking on a country brings up latest info and basic info with option to expand to view total relevant info. Government type, Leader and top mil officials, population, troop numbers, assets etc. Conflict countries are red, tension countries are yellow/orange. Latest events flash in the location of that country. Live view page with latest sources showing in large popups where the map is in control of itself and zooming on that active event country or location. 1-3 fully customizable user profile pages which is what you have now basically minus the ability to save multiple layouts/pages.
• Try to beat the news via OSINT sources using AI scalping and AI verification of the sources and provide a accuracy rating or percentage. Have options to pull from social media with AI etc. Ability to have AI summarize events globally and within countries and conflicts from last 1hr to 1 week etc.
• Better default ads-b support with option to show mil aircraft globally.

I like the OSINT Idea, It would pay off because if AI scrapes and Scalps it can run the data and predict outcomes quickly.
I would also say giving us the ability to clear the keyword feed after reading the alerts would be helpful. A flashing yellow outline sitting there just keeps drawing my attention and if its not new keyword news I get a lil annoyed lmao

• AI source verification - Rate source reliability

1. Map style selector (satellite/terrain)

   (complete in 24 hrs)

The 3D globe would require significant MapLibre → deck.gl migration (~1 week).

Fantastic news, thank you for the thorough reply. In terms of priorities. Since the conflict is extremely active I would focus on things that you can achieve quickly right now. Maybe first priority is performance improvements/reliability, followed by the simple dashboard mode?

@AaronCorkyj thanks for the PRs, but you should reply to my questions there, you're not basing your work on Main, and every PR has the other PRs included to it, it's definitely not atomic, I have a problem merging these.

1. Am really working on performance, I am not open to merging anything on that before am done please.
2. I have a lot of underlying work for a rework of the dashboard and the LLM and notification system - along with API & MCP
3. Map/style terrain wouldn't add much value to most people especially when you think that this project can't dig too much into the map - but we should extend on the dashboard.
4. Telegram integration is done, X is not too complicated to add - but I want the infra to route into a proper classifier finished first

I vote for :

1. Live View Mode
2. Auto-rotating view:

• Show recent events on map
• Auto-zoom to active conflicts
• Large event cards overlay

3. 3D globe

I keep getting complaints about our map, hence maybe worth improving it

I would second the map being a priority, I notice some minor performance issues with it. Some lag for instance. Thankfully though I havent spotted any memory leaks which are usually the main culprit so cheers there

@koala73 I retract my previous priority lists. Live data and ease of use GUI needs attention, You are currently latest to the party in terms of receiving data visually on the map and in updates and intel boxes.

-How to improve? I think you really need the AI implementation I suggested and a new box dedicated to OSINT intel that updates extremely quickly, this could be combined with a horizontal scrolling ticker with latest updates in live view or global view as well as large popup notifications.

-How to achieve easily and quickly? From a compiled list of mostly reputable OSINT twitter/x accounts of about 50-60. Scrape them for signal posts, use a twitter bot account that automatically posts "@grok please verify this post/claim and provide a percentage calculation of accuracy, and how many other accounts are reporting this with a similar headline." etc etc. on every new post. Is that possible? why build it if its already built in to twitter? Form an algorithm/equation for which headlines to include if accuracy is above 50%, Determine priority of update/signal, critical, high, medium. If grok confirms or says plausible and +/- # of accounts are reporting = % of accuracy. Medium-Large notification pops up with headline and country flag icon, accuracy %, timestamp, and priority. When you click it a box pops up with more details, groks summary, and links to all the multiple sources reporting the same thing. You could also speed things up even more by just scraping the accounts, posting the update and then do verification after.

Map dots/poi's are sometimes overlayed on top of eachother so you have to zoom in close to select a country, entire country should be clickable.

ADS-B map integration for military planes is very important. Can you just pull api from ADS-B with hotkey/filter "U" applied? Reason; The US has a crazy amount of stratotankers in the air enroute right now from US, UK and Belgium which indicates things are going to ramp up. Poland military plane just left DC etc. Create new layer for military planes. I worry the impact this would have on map performance though in its current state, it's almost to the point of being unuseable when zooming, navigating, and clicking.

Military activity layer is super wonky right now. Sometimes it just starts showing every single fishing vessel. Maybe create new layer strictly for US navy ships approximate locations etc.
