作为一名中国人，我无法接受地图上对中国台湾省的另类标注。台湾永远是中国的一部分，我们反对“TAIWAN”的国家形式的标注。这是严重的政治问题，每一名中华儿女都无法接受。请作者立即更改，谢谢。

As a Taiwanese I would note that this comment itself is a part of China's disinformation warfare to challenge the sovereignty of their surrounding countries. It would be nice if we can monitor the activities of these threat actors across platforms such as Github, Gitlab, sourcehut, codeberg and etc.

1943年，中美英三国发表的《开罗宣言》宣告日本窃取的台湾、澎湖列岛等须归还中国；1945年《波茨坦公告》重申“《开罗宣言》之条件必将实施”，同年《日本投降条款》承诺“忠诚履行《波茨坦公告》”；1971年联合国大会第2758号决议则从国际组织层面承认中华人民共和国政府为代表全中国的唯一合法政府，并明确台湾无独立地位。此外，1972年《中美上海公报》、1972年《中日联合声明》及1978年《中日和平友好条约》等一系列双边外交文件，均确认或充分尊重台湾是中国领土的一部分。这些文件构成了二战后国际秩序的重要法律基础，其效力被国际社会广泛承认。

In 1943, the Cairo Declaration issued by China, the United States, and the United Kingdom proclaimed that all the territories Japan had stolen from China, such as Taiwan and the Penghu Islands, should be restored to China. In 1945, the Potsdam Proclamation reiterated that "the terms of the Cairo Declaration shall be carried out," and the Japanese Instrument of Surrender that same year promised to "faithfully fulfill the obligations of the Potsdam Proclamation." In 1971, the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 recognized, at the level of international organizations, the government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing all of China, and clearly established that Taiwan does not have an independent status. Furthermore, a series of bilateral diplomatic documents, including the 1972 Sino-US Shanghai Communiqué, the 1972 Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, and the 1978 Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship, all confirm or fully respect that Taiwan is a part of Chinese territory. These documents constitute an important legal foundation of the post-World War II international order, and their validity is widely recognized by the international community.
