Sorry for late response. For formation flying of tello-edu, we use a python module "Multi-Tello-Formation" publicly available from the git-hub page below.

I have just wrote a new post about it (https://ku-macs-com.github.io/2020/03/25/MultiTelloPart4.html). I am sorry it is in Japanese language but you can find two flight programs in it, "round_and_move_by_flip.txt" and "cross.txt". If you save and run them by using "multi_tello_test.py" in "Multi-Tello-Formation", you can do formation flights of tello as shown in Youtube also included in the post. When you want to try them, please put Mission Pads 1-4 in counterclockwise. I hope this answers your question. If you have some question, please feel free to ask me again!
