Matchzy demo recording broken

We used to have no issues with demo recording via Matchzy however about 2 months ago demo recording broke. It starts to record the demo and creates a .dem file about ~80kb in size but that's it. There is nothing meaningful in the logs either. It's probably related to bug reported here However people say it occasionally happens for them but for me it happens all matches. It's 100% reproduceable. And I use cs2-modded-server. I was wondering if anyone else having the same problem who uses the modded server.

I also facing problem with recording MatchZy demo files, rummaged the whole Internet and find no clue to fix this issue. Tell me once you have a solution please, thank you in advance.

My situation is i see MatchZy logged properly about recording demo, but i cannot find the actual demo file during or after the match.

You definitely have HDD space?

If it has been reported in Matchzy not much I can do, and to be honest it’s probably Valve that needs to fix it.

Have you done a test and played around with different settings?

The demos should be in a Matchzy folder in the game folder.

// Path of folder in which demos will be saved. If defined, it must not start with a slash and must end with a slash. Set to empty string to use the csgo root.
// Example: matchzy_demo_path MatchZy/

I tried to manually record a demo_test.dem file, i think it's due to valve now, right? Sorry I'm rookie in these things...

@monokaijs @boytunp I have tested on my system and everything is working correctly.

Please read this FAQ I just added where I give clear instructions on what you need to do.

I tested, manual demo recording works.
Competitive mode with MatchZy auto demo recording doesn't.

Waiting for some help from MatchZy...

I will test it tomorrow. The only difference I see though from my setup is tv_autorecord 0.

Demos are working correctly now.

Although demos are working I cannot really play these recorded demos. The demos actually mostly work, can be analyzed by https://cs-demo-manager.com/ however playing the demos in cs2 fails. Just freezes in the beginning. The frozen scene is characters' both hands down sort of lifting from the ground. Have no idea what the issue is. Anyone else facing this?
