first time setup, server crashes when changing map/mode

I set up the sever on Linux using the install script. The server launches and starts on dust 2. But whenever I try to switch the map/mode it goes into loading screen and then crashes. Meta list and css_plugins list show the correct output in the server console. I first launched the server after the recent game update. Does it crash because of the recent update or is my setup wrong?
