Space is shown as empty space

It should be better to cover simply all characters as the dot. A space makes a weird exception.
But im not shure if its possible.

This is expected, if your password contains a space. A whitespace character can be possible in some passwords or secure sensitive data.

What do you mean it is expected? Currently there are no dots for spaces but empty space only. In password type inputs there is a dot when hitting space.

Finally I edited your font with FontForge, copied a single char, then selected all, pasted, then right-click and transform, then scale (X = 30%, Y= 30%), apply, generate fonts. Thanks for your work.

Please note there is another issue ticket here where this "feature" was intentionally introduced as a bugfix: #1

This was a quick fix for a problem in internet explorer which shows a useless space in an input even you dont typed it in.

But i hope there is a better solution for this problem to cover both scenarios: a wanted space as a dot and a useless space (?) as nothing in IE.

Hi! I just found out about this project, I happen to have a very similar one: noppa/text-security.

Anyways, just thought I should drop by and mention that we had an issue noppa/text-security#3 very similar to this and #1. There's some investigation and workarounds there that might be helpful.
