Receiving notes is not working

First of all, Thank you for this amazing work.. it’s been a bless for all the beginner players..

I have an issue I couldn’t fix, I used to connect my digital piano yamaha clp 625 with my mbp and use sightreading.training on chrome, and practice on the staff.. it was working great..

Now I’m trying to connect the same piano with the same mbp, the mac recognizes the piano, receives notes on garageband, yet in the website. It recognizes the midi input, butnot receiving any note!

I’v tried changing the cable even a new one, installing drivers, using other two devices and iPad..
all finds the piano, but receiving notes..

Would you please guide me through this? Or is it a problem needs to be addressed and fixed?

It's possible you blocked the MIDI permission by accident in your browser. I recommend going through the individual permissions settings for the domain to see if there's anything in there blocking access. It's highly unlikely it's related in any way to your specific keyboard.

A few other things you might want to try:

1. An incognito window, it may allow you to do a fresh authorization of permissions
2. Try Chrome, it would be a completely different profile and would also allow you to reconnect the permissions
3. Disconnect & close all other MIDI apps on your computer. Some operating systems (I know this is the case with Windows), will take exclusive control over MIDI devices when a connection is established, and they can't be shared in other apps.

Please do share if you figure it out so that you may help any others in the future that have a similar problem.

I tried reconnecting the permissions, it worked.. yet.. something weird was happening..
all permissions were ALLOW (Default), and ASK (default)
all I did was changing it to ALLOW and ASK, and the magic happens !
