In light of the recent sodium backport and subsequent aeronautics/sable update(s) relying on it as a dependency, the entire suite of sodium add-on mods made by txnimc have not been updated in an extensive amount of time and the Sodium Options API causes a client crash when attempting to access Video Settings essentially resulting in a cascade where none of his mods are reliable due to their heavy co-dependency on the API, expectedly.
The Sodium devs themselves have noted that all versions of his mods are problematic- CaffeineMC/sodium@d544a16#diff-e380ecaaf1e9f72be30db395ad3f313674c314672bd1dbdf01362b582475a7cfR100-R107
I noticed in the README for this mod that LambDynamicLights is recommended for the Fabric version and I think it should be applied to the NeoForge version as well. The README is also slightly misleading as it lists the secondary mod in both instances as being "Recommended" but they're explicitly required for the game to load since type=optional isn't declared in neoforge.mods.toml added to the fact that without either of the expected mods the desired lighting effects don't occur regardless of the mod being active.
