Modern computers have multiple cores, but we're only using two of them (one for UI, one for AI). The AI can (and should) use multiple cores if available!

true, but I think we need some engine-refactoring for this (i.e. multiple instances at the same time...).

I don't know what's the best way to implement this, but I think we should split the caucluation by each possible move in the first depth level - in any sensible scenario, the number of moves for the first turn will exceed the number of cores :-)
