The MVP uses SOL as a technical demonstration mechanism. For real institutional use, hospitals cannot operate with SOL directly (due to accounting, tax regulation, and volatility).

The Anchor program does not need changes. The abstraction occurs at the integration layer.

- Research Solana Pay for integration with fiat payments
- Evaluate available on-ramps in LATAM (Mercado Pago, bank transfer → USDC)
- The hospital operates in pesos/dollars; a gateway converts to USDC/SOL before interacting with the protocol
- The Vault PDA can be adapted to SPL tokens (USDC) with minimal changes to the program
