Description

I keep getting the "ViPER4Android was granted Superuser rights" toast whenever an audio or a simple sounds starts playing and shows the same toast when that audio or sounds ends. This is specially annoying when using short video apps such as Instagram when scrolling through posts and not reels as it doesn't show the toast if the audio is continuous without any pauses or breaks. I used to have global mode on but this is draining my battery and it's applying my equalizer effects on sounds that I don't want affected.

The app already has root permissions, it gets and uses root permissions every time "ViPER4Android was granted Superuser rights".

This is root manager issue, it will notify you which app requests root by default. You can close the toast in the settings, for magisk manager, go to settings -> superuser notification -> select none

I understand, but even though the master limiter is of for both tabs it still uses root permissions. It's there a way for it to only execute on specific apps? Or does it usually already do that by default and there's something wrong?

Oh this should be a bug, if you turn off the master, literally it should not react to the audio session anymore. For the second one, I don't have a plan to add this feature currently, but technically it is possible.

I see, could this potentially be the fault of the driver? Or is it my phone's OS? And by technically possible, does that mean there's a user interface or a termux command line I can do to only work on 2 specific apps?

You need to filter the app by package name in this file, so only the app in white list will create the session.

You need to clone this project and modify the files locally, then build the app for yourself.

You can also deny Viper toast notifications only via Magisk, you just have to click on Viper in the Superuser tab and disable notifications.
