Deserialization error when using union for string type

Hi

I am using fastDesrializer for a file written using avro 1.8.2 , whenever parsing using fastdesrializer code , i run into
Illegal union index for ... error ?
Any idea what could be the possible reason ?

We had a similar problem and it was because we had used FastGenericDatumReader(schema) which sets the writerSchema and ignores when setSchema is called. We instead switched to FastGenericDatumReader(null, schema) so that the writerSchema would be set when setSchema was called.
