Microcks - Contributing Data

Hello,

I am the TOC sponsor for Microcks and am currently conducting the incubation DD. Looking at LFX data, some of it does not align:

• 69% of total contrib are made by 2 folks employed by Postman
• However, LXF lists different contrib orgs: https://insights.linuxfoundation.org/project/microcks/contributors?widget=organizations-leaderboard, such as AsyncAPI Initiative and Time for the Planet

Can you please assist me with this issue?

We’ve noticed quite some glitches and issues in the insights reporting, for example, mismatches between contributors:

Regarding metrics, I guess you should compare with devstats:

Just a note regarding the statement “69% of total contributions are made by two contributors employed by Postman.”

It is true that the two maintainers of Microcks are also its largest contributors. This can be explained by the project’s history: Microcks was initiated over 10 years ago and was donated to the CNCF three years ago. These two maintainers are currently the only contributors dedicating around 90% of their time to the project, which naturally results in higher contribution volume compared to occasional contributors (most of them are Microcks adopters, which is great).

While it is also true that both maintainers are employed by Postman, it is important to clarify that Postman acts as the main sponsor of the project, not as a product owner. Postman does not provide any commercial or enterprise product derived from or based on Microcks. There is a clear and deliberate separation between Postman’s activities and the Microcks project.
