No Module named genericSolver

I've compiled from your fork and it works. But after selecting the FEM wb, FreeCAD complains that it cannot locate the module genericSolver. I realized that you made an own directory for it, but in the InitGui.py file there is only import genericSolver. Is it possible that it should be import genericSolver.genericSolver? A second smaller issue is, that the file is named GenericSolver.py which would lead to an import error in Linux due to case sensitivity.

I have placed a __init__.py in the genericSolver directory. So the import genericSolver should import this file. Can you post the full Traceback (or at least the part which is shown in freecad) ?

strange. Somehow the directory isn't available. Maybe you can have a look at the build Fem dir. there should be a directory called genericSolver and in this directory should be the __init__.py

No there is no python file in there:

The build directory is where the compiler output goes.
In constrast:

no i mean the copied files after compilation:
it should be something like this:
/build/Mod/Fem/genericSolver

Yeah that's in the build directory above.

try without the src, this is the place where all the source code goes to. The python files get directly copied to build/Mod/... at the end of the compilation.

Ah, sorry. Something is wrong with me today ;-). Yeah in this directory there are no genericSolver files:

okay, then there was something wrong with the compilation. As you maybe want to work on the generic solver you can make a dynamic link from your git repo to the build dir (at least this is how I am working right now)
ln -s ~/shared/freecad_loo/src/Mod/Fem/genericSolver ~/shared/freecad_loo/build/Mod/Fem

Maybe this is a CMakelist.txt problem? You mentioned above that there have certain source files to be removed from there? Ah nice: Now it works. Looks great. Which kind of functionality did you implement already?

maybe you are missing some of the last commits. I have removed some files and also did this: d41b500 . So there was a problem that the files got install into Fem instead of Fem/genericSolver. Maybe this is still the case for you.
there are two icons. one for the genericSolver (has a little fenics symbol :-) and the other icon is a {} which should be the generic property setter.
you need a analysis, a generic solver and a mesh. Then you can double click the solver and see a task dialog where you can select an solver. At the moment thats all. I have experimented with setting results, but this needs more work.

Oergs. Could you please tell me, how to update your fork and in particular your branch? git pull behaves strange and only updates the master branch.
