Terms of Service

Introduction and Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the Brick Hill Rewritten project ("Brick Hill Rewritten", "the project", "we", "us", or "our"). They exist so that everyone who plays, builds, trades, and chats here can do so in an environment that stays fair, predictable, and reasonably safe. The Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and our Rules of Conduct, both of which you should read alongside this document — together they describe what we expect from you and what you can expect from us.

By creating an account, browsing the site, downloading the client, or otherwise making use of anything we offer (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm three things: that you meet the minimum age required to legally agree to online terms in the place you live, that you are at least the age we require to register on this platform, and that you have actually read and understood this document rather than skipping to the bottom. If any of that isn't true, please close this tab — the Service isn't for you yet, and that's okay.

We're a small, independent, non-commercial project, and that means these Terms may need to change as we grow, fix mistakes, or respond to situations we didn't anticipate. We'll publish updates directly to this page, and continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If a change meaningfully reduces your rights as a user, we'll try to give you a heads-up of at least a week before it takes effect. If you ever disagree with a change badly enough that you don't want to be bound by it, your option is to stop using the Service — we won't hold that against you.

Any disagreement, claim, or dispute connected to these Terms will be looked at using whichever version of the Terms was published at the time the situation occurred — not whatever version happens to be live when the dispute is actually resolved. Keeping track of which version applies to your situation is on you, which is part of why we date every revision at the bottom of this page.

What We're Offering

Brick Hill Rewritten exists to let people build things, play what others have built, trade items, and talk to each other through whatever tools, pages, or client software we make available. Using the Service grants you a personal, revocable permission to access it for those purposes — it isn't a transfer of ownership over anything, and it doesn't give you any right to take the Service apart, extract its underlying code, or repurpose pieces of it for something we didn't intend. Doing any of that breaks these Terms.

Because we're a volunteer-run, free project, nothing about the Service is guaranteed to stick around forever. Features can be added, changed, paused, or removed — sometimes with warning, sometimes without — and we won't owe you anything for the inconvenience if that happens. We'd rather be upfront about that now than pretend otherwise later.

From time to time the Service may surface content, links, or tools that come from outside parties rather than from us directly. We don't vet that material the way we'd vet our own, so we can't take responsibility for what it contains, how it handles anything of yours it touches, or any trouble it causes you. Treat third-party content with the same caution you'd use anywhere else online.

Creating and Keeping an Account

Most of what makes Brick Hill Rewritten worth using requires an account. When you register one, you're telling us the information you provide is genuinely true and that you'll keep it that way going forward — we're allowed to refuse, suspend, or quietly ignore information we believe is false, and we don't owe you an explanation when we do. Nobody but you should ever be signing into your account, full stop, regardless of the circumstances; we provide things like email verification to help you keep it that way, but the day-to-day security of your login is ultimately your job, not ours. Lending, selling, or handing your account to someone else — even a friend you trust completely — isn't permitted under any version of events we can think of.

If you think someone else has gotten into your account, or that your password or recovery details have leaked somewhere, tell us as soon as you notice. We'll help where we reasonably can, but we aren't liable for whatever happened before you let us know. Breaking these Terms or the Rules of Conduct can cost you access to your account at our discretion, and we don't owe compensation for a suspension or termination that resulted from your own actions. If you'd rather walk away on your own terms, you can request account deletion at any time by emailing bhrewritten@gmail.com (temporary address while we finalize our support systems).

Content You Make

Plenty of what makes this place interesting comes from users, not us — avatar items, scripts, artwork, forum posts, usernames, screenshots, whatever you decide to put into the Service. We'll refer to all of it collectively as "your content." By submitting it here, you're giving us a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and otherwise make use of it as part of running the Service, without that license expiring on its own or restricting how we're allowed to use it within that context.

Putting something into the Service is also you telling us you actually made it, or that you otherwise have every right needed to share it the way you're sharing it. Whatever you upload remains your responsibility start to finish — we don't screen everything before it appears, we don't promise it's accurate or in good taste, and by using a platform full of other people's contributions you accept that you might run into something you personally find distasteful. We can remove or alter user content whenever we think it's warranted, without needing to explain ourselves first, and if you spot something that you believe shouldn't be here, reporting it is the fastest way to get our attention.

Virtual Currency and Virtual Items

The Service uses two forms of virtual currency, Bucks and Bits, which exist purely to let you obtain virtual goods inside Brick Hill Rewritten and nowhere else. They are not money, they don't convert into money, and nothing about how we structure them should be read as implying otherwise — any purchase involving Bucks or Bits is final in the sense that it isn't reversible through a court or a chargeback the way a real transaction might be. Moving currency or virtual items off-platform, whether through trading, selling, or any workaround you can think of, violates these Terms and puts your account at risk.

Everything about how virtual currency and virtual items work — how much they're worth in practice, how you earn them, whether a given item stays obtainable — is something we control entirely and can adjust whenever we decide it's necessary. That might occasionally mean something you've collected loses perceived value or becomes harder to get; we're not required to compensate you for that, refund anything, or give advance notice, except where a law somewhere genuinely requires us to.

Conduct Expectations and Community Guidelines

1. How Accounts and Access Work

Brick Hill Rewritten doesn't charge for registration, and we don't gate core features behind a paywall — the experience here is meant to be open to everyone who meets our age requirement.

Once you register, a personal account gets created under the username you chose, accessible with the password you set.
If you ever notice unauthorized activity on that account, we expect you to tell us at bhrewritten.pages.dev promptly.

We aren't responsible for harm, loss, or inconvenience that results from someone else gaining unauthorized access to your account.

2. Behaving Like a Decent Community Member

Our small team puts real effort into keeping this a place people actually want to spend time in. In exchange, everyone who registers is agreeing to follow the rules below in full, not selectively.

Wherever the words "include," "includes," or "including" show up below, read them as "including, but not limited to" — the lists are illustrative, not exhaustive, and our staff retain judgment over edge cases that aren't spelled out word-for-word.

If your account is ever hit with a permanent suspension or a platform-wide ("super") ban, that decision extends to you as a person, not just that one account — we reserve the right to remove any future accounts you create afterward, regardless of how the situation came about.

Usernames can't contain profanity, sexual references, or other content that's inappropriate for a general audience — this applies both to registration and to paid username changes.

Heavy or gratuitous profanity isn't something we tolerate as a baseline; mild language may be allowed in context, but treat that as a privilege that can be revoked, not a guarantee.

Don't post, link, or reference anything malicious, deceptive, or designed to harm other users' devices or accounts.

Harassment, hate speech, racism, sexism, and similarly targeted abuse toward other users won't be tolerated regardless of who started it.

Don't pursue any activity intended to give you an unfair edge over other players — what counts as "unfair" is ultimately our call to make.

Coordinating multiple accounts to funnel currency into one main account ("coin-farming"), or using alternate accounts to buy up limited-edition items ("alt-hoarding"), is not allowed.
Coin-farming refers to deliberately routing virtual currency from accounts you control into a single primary account to manufacture artificial income. Alt-hoarding refers to using those same secondary accounts to acquire multiple copies of a "Special" or limited item.

Spam isn't welcome here — that covers low-effort threads, reposting something that already exists or was previously removed by staff, and submitting reports you know to be false.

We don't allow trading, selling, or any transaction conducted off-platform, and accounts tied to that kind of activity may be terminated.
We take no responsibility for items, data, or accounts that are lost or compromised as a result of off-platform dealings.

You're responsible for your own experience here. Don't pretend to be someone else, and report content that crosses a line or that you believe violates these Terms.

Every asset, account, and feature tied to Brick Hill Rewritten exists exclusively within bhrewritten.pages.dev. Attempting to sell, lend, or gift any of it outside that scope will result in suspension. We don't take responsibility for transactions conducted through any platform other than the ones we directly provide.

You're welcome to request full account deletion — removing all of your public information — by emailing bhrewritten@gmail.com (temporary address).
Once that's done, there's no walking it back.

Never use someone else's payment method without their direct permission.
If a purchase shows up on your account that you didn't authorize, email bhrewritten@gmail.com (temporary address) right away.

Logging into any account besides your own is off-limits, no exceptions.
Trading, lending, or otherwise transferring account access to another user is never allowed, and accounts involved in that kind of arrangement will be terminated.

Individual forum boards may carry their own pinned rules layered on top of these Terms and our general site guidelines.
Ignoring those board-specific rules can still lead to suspension.

Regardless of which board you're posting on, the following is never permitted:

Hatred, bullying, or prejudice directed at others.

Sexually explicit material of any kind.

References to illegal substances or alcohol use.

Sharing someone's private information without consent.

Off-site links that don't otherwise comply with these Terms.

We genuinely want people to feel free to speak their minds here, but that freedom has a ceiling — everyone deserves to feel safe while they enjoy Brick Hill Rewritten.

Our team can remove user-uploaded content for any reason they see fit.

Team members aren't held to these exact rules in the same way, since their conduct is reviewed separately through internal oversight.

Our team retain the right to suspend or terminate any account on bhrewritten.pages.dev
for any reason they deem appropriate.
