I have this configuration:

As you can see, headlight's "Force mode" is inactive.
But with this use-case my Garmin overrides the manually selected mode:
1.) Start the Garmin
2.) Wait until both lights properly connected
3.) Go to a datascreen with SBL (and make sure both lamps are in Smart mode)
4.) Manually activate the headlight
5.) Observe it's working great (in case we have "Force mode" activated, lamp would refuse step4 after a short period)
6.) Move back one datascreen
7.) Wait at least 2 seconds
8.) Come back to the screen with SBL
9.) My Garmin overrides manually selected mode and forces back the light to Smart mode
This doesn't bother me, just I wanted to report.
