Garmin Edge 840: Global filter is not working

My Edge 840 has been updated to 31.29

Until now, this below Global filter worked correctly, but with this version it stopped working:

Smart mode starts correctly, after I start the timer with the physical button on the Edge.

However, when training ends, and I discard the ride, Garmin goes back to home screen, leaving my lights turned on.

In case I go back to a datascreen where SBL is shown, it turns off the lights immediately.

I do not think this can be solved with the data field as based on the described behavior, the compute method is not called after the activity is discarded. The compute method is responsible to update the light mode based on the configured filters and it is usually called by the firmware every second. Does this happen only when discarding the ride or also when saving it?

It only happens when I discard the ride.

But I solved it by increasing the Timer State filter:

With this setting, SBL turns off my lights immediately once I stop the activity with the physical button. I.e. lights are turned off on the activity overview screen immediately. Doesn't matter whether you discard or save the ride.

Previously I used the config, because I thought lights would turn off with an auto-pause for example when I stop at a red street sign and I wanted to avoid it. But auto-pause is considered larger than stopped for timer state.
