Are you sure that it is not related to something in your environment ?
The build is working fine so it looks suspicious.

Indeed, it's surprising that I'm the only one with this problem. I had to comment out this line (Dockerfile#L32) - which appears useless - in the Dockerfile so that the build could go ahead.

Apart from the docker version (Docker version 20.10.21, build 20.10.21-0ubuntu1~22.04.3), I don't see how my environment could interfere, which is the main purpose of Docker.

I solve the problem putting:

USER root # before WORDIR /home/sydent/src
CHMOD 777 -R /home/sydent/src
USER sydent:sydent
