@mcnolan I think I may have figured out how to fix the mambo admin login. As antt1995 said, you need to remove the (ogin=true bit from line 45 of administration/index.php so that the line just reads if ($remember=="on"){

However, then there are a load more edits that you need to do to the rest of the files under administration/. I'm prepping on upgrading my server from PHP4 to PHP5, so I had to change all instances of <? to <?php - otherwise it was just ignored by the site completely. However I then found that throughout the administration files, there are many times where a space wasn't added after the <? - so you get many instances of <?if <?for and <?} - all of these essentially cancel out the code that was supposed to be there.

I don't know if there's a similar tool you can use on a Windows machine, but on Linux you can use grep -lr to give you a list of all files where this happens - editing those has at least allowed me to log in to the mambo admin.

Thanks for the heads up - I fear It's not worth updating as the code is now 11 years out of date - deprecation and changes to php defaults (complete <?php tags being the biggest pain) make IFS incredibly obsolete. Not to mention its missing 11 years of security updates as well (heck, mambo hasn't been in active development since 2008 and the version integrated with IFS is from 2004!).
