Not getting From ID in messages

Hi All,

I'm trying to write some automations to automatically reply to incoming messages.
I have it working with reply to channels, but I can't reply directly because the From ID doesn't seem to be registering.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Example incoming DM from Logbook:

Hi. meshtastic_event is rather high level event only operating on Home Assistant level, so you only have home assistant identifies, such as entity_id and device_id. If you do need to respond to arbitrary node (not known in advance and thus no home assistant enities), you can use lower level api event types. Thanks for that.
I had found that page & was trying to use the send_text section from the Advanced example, but it doesn't seem to find those variables.

This got me the info I needed, can now reply to DMs
