Contributor License Agreement (CLA) — Process

Status: process defined; canonical agreement text pending owner publication.

Zero accepts contributions under the Apache License 2.0. To keep the project's licensing clean and to give the maintainer the ability to relicense or enforce the project's rights in the future, every contributor must sign the project's Contributor License Agreement before their pull request can be merged.

Current process

  1. Open your pull request as usual (see CONTRIBUTING.md).
  2. A maintainer will provide you with the current canonical CLA document to review and sign.
  3. Once your signed CLA is recorded by the maintainer, your contribution can be merged.

Important limitation

The authoritative CLA legal text is owned and published by the project owner (mhrsdev). This file intentionally does not reproduce or invent that legal text. Until the owner publishes the canonical document in this repository (for example as CLA.txt), the process above applies and merging remains gated on the maintainer-recorded signature.

No contribution will be rejected because of this gate once the signed CLA is on file; the gate exists solely to protect contributors and the project alike.
