Mssql issues after VS code update "run_query" tool only #20676

After installing the new update end of last week I have been having an issue with the run_query tool in the github copilot. All other tools working fine and I am able to establish and make a connection.
When I ran the update I initally added the preview new features (to check out the edit tables preview) but have since disabled this and restarted as I thought it may be the root of the problem. Sometimes toggling the tool on and off seems to work but even this is intermittent.
