Can this infobox be poped when clicked on layer instead of markers?

I have airport surface map with runways as layers. When I click on runways, I want to show some information at InfoWindow. Issue is I need to have all black theme as per product theme. In your examples, I saw only markers and no custom overlay. So, not sure if this paper-map-info can be used as it is in my case

While you can use any event to show the infowindow, the location the infowindow displays at is tied to a marker. The infowindow also watches the marker position while the infowindow is displayed to allow the window to move if the map is panned or zoomed.

I suppose you could add a tiny transparent marker to the map at the location of the click and then open the infowindow on that dynamically created invisible marker.

I would also like to mention that this version is for Polymer 1 projects. If you need to use with Polymer 2 or 3, I've renamed the element to plastic-map-info to match my other custom elements, with the same API and use cases.
