Godot anyone?
Refactor has to happen so why not switch to a better engine and optimize towards low-spec machines
Note everything lessons learned specific to the project or that step

(1) Since a lot of elements use a similar pattern (one or more Canvas, one 3D representation, adders for all), make this a pattern, which is similar across all implementations.

Something like:
