video playback start

Hello, I understand the audio playback only starts once you click on the screen but this makes it so the iconic drum solo is usually cut off, is there any particular reason why the video doesn't also start playing only once you click?

Hmm, that's unusual!

I'll have a look at this further and see why this has happened. I know I changed the video source, so that may be a part of it.

Due to the way browsers are protecting users from media autoplaying etc, it's made life a bit harder, but I'll check this out tonight and see what I can do!

In fear of you misunderstanding me and wasting your time, this isn't an issue but a feature request if I'm not mistaken.
The time in between the page loading and you clicking on it is usually longer than the drum intro so it's cut off. From what I understand though this is how it is supposed to work, I'd just like an option for it not to be like that.

The vid should definitely only start once you've clicked on it. It was an oversight by myself that the vid starts playing as soon as you go onto the page, rather than once you click.

What you did should fix it so thanks a lot. But I don't think I can pull the fixed version with my compose file, I tried changing the tag, that didn't do it

Try stopping the container, deleting the image and retrying the pull.

I'm unsure what system you're using, but for me, I have Linux w/ ZSH and I have the following in my aliases:

export DC_PROJECT_DIR="${DC_PROJECT_DIR:-/mnt/docker/HDA}"
[[ -f ~/.zshenv.local ]] && source ~/.zshenv.local

# Aliases
alias dcup="docker compose --project-directory ${DC_PROJECT_DIR} up -d --remove-orphans"
alias dcdown="docker compose --project-directory ${DC_PROJECT_DIR} down"
alias dcpull="docker compose --project-directory ${DC_PROJECT_DIR} pull"
alias dcprune="docker system prune -af --volumes"

That way, I can do:

dcpull rickroll && dcup rickroll

And this is my compose file:

  rickroll:
    image: modem7/docker-rickroll
    # image: rickroll:test
    container_name: Rickroll
    ports:
      - 1987:1987
    networks:
      pihole:
    environment:
      - PORT=1987
      - OVERLAY=loading
    labels:
      # - backup
      - autoheal=true

      - *...rest of Traefik config...*

Alternatively, if you're having issues re-pulling the latest tag, try the 1080p tag (modem7/docker-rickroll:1080p)

The latest tag did not work I tried that earlier, however deleting the image first did the trick. I'll remember that for the next time I can't pull a new version of a container.
