Artists counted multiple times #80
Description
When I imported my data, I ended up with a bunch of individual artists counted two or more times. It seems only to happen with artists who have seven scrobbles or fewer (but doesn't happen to every artist with seven or fewer scrobbles). For example, the map shows me as having 15 artists for Egypt, but a whole four of them are just Oum Kalthoum repeated four times! This isn't me having duplicates in my library, it's literally the exact same artist being counted multiple times by the tool.
I thought maybe this happened because I was editing stuff on Last.fm while the import was taking place, so I cleared my cache and reimported the data while not doing any edits, and it still happened (although which artists got multiply counted did change, like I remember the first time Ngaiire was counted twice and on the second import she's now counted only once).
