Reduce selectable background width in floating mode (SurfingKeys-style)

In floating mode, the selectable item background currently spans wider than the actual hint/label text. This makes the UI feel visually heavier and less precise.

That's something that could be done easily by setting the box colours to transparent and adding a text box. Might have a look to implement at some point.
