Sometime motion does not work to turn on screen

I have a problem with my Redmi Pad Pro and Redmi Pad SE. I want to use to turn on display with motion. Sometime motion does not work and i need to tap on screen to turn on. Motion is set to 95%.

I have the same problem.
waking up the screen on motion doesn't work even though the motion entity is updated correctly. The wake up screen button doesn't work either.

Hi. v0.12.0 has reworked motion detection to have significant improvements including:

• Low light handling
• Much more sensitive detection
• Face detection
• Diagnostics highlighting of detection for tuning
• A camera feed with detection boxes in the new settings menu to help understand what VACA is seeing if you have problems.

Before the sensor was switch.vaca_05d6fb455_motion_detection and it worked now it is no longer available now the new sensor select.casa_view_assist_android_motion_detection is available, but neither face nor motion works.
I don't know if it's a VACA or ViewAssist error.
If I go back to a version prior to 12, everything works again.

Can you provide more info. What device? Did you look at the new camera stream option in quick actions -> settings, does it show the camera and any detections?
