Hi, very interesting to see your work on exploring further seamless integration between container wine/crossover x86_64 steam and mac arm steam!
Just wondering if there's any documented / undocumented behavior about the how controller passing on macos steam works, when connecting via steamlink.
My current attempt is that as steam input library handles the controller from steamlink(equilivant of moonlight) on their own, mac os does not aware of this non standard solution.
As a result, wine won't recognize the controller from steam link, and there's no controller usage available in Crossover.
I wonder, in your experimental kaon project, is the redirection flow including controller redirection, in the startup process?
Really wanna see if I can whether:
a. modify steam mac's input handling, so that when connecting w/ steamlink, the controller is being taken as mac os native controller(hence could be working in Crossover wine)
b. find a way to redirect the steam input lib, and make it talk with wine so that wine and crossover will see this.
or
c. make steam mac aware of the proton/wine instance, and treat that as a game instance, and redirect standard xinput?(we're on mac but you know what I mean) signal to proton/wine instance.
