Disable/Enable extension when clicking on the extension icon

Hi, since the extension changes the display of the text, it sometimes (rarely) breaks the layout and I can't select and copy text.
So it would be nice to be able to quickly disable the extension without going into the menu, since Firefox doesn't have the option to disable the extension temporarily without going into the extension options.

This is a good idea, honestly with firefox I'm just hoping they support the CSS Highlight API so I can just use the same code as Chrome/Safari, but it should be easy to make some sort of toggle like that.

Have you tried modifying the 'ancestor nodes' or the 'bad host' webpage settings? You might be able to programmatically disable it

It lags on large documents. Causes problems if I want to copy some content from long Jenkins logs for example. Having auto-disable or disable by hot-key or by icon press wound be really helpful. Now I need to disable the extension from Firefox menu. And I always forget to enable it back. So when time comes to get selection highlighted I'm not sure if this extension is enabled or not, so I'm ctrl-c/ctrl-f to make sure and avoid frustration.
