Is there an existing issue for this?

• I have searched the existing open and closed issues and I checked the docs https://jokob-sk.github.io/NetAlertX/

The issue occurs in the following browsers. Select at least 2.

• Firefox
• Chrome
• Edge
• Safari (unsupported) - PRs welcome
• N/A - This is an issue with the backend

Current Behavior

During venv creation for AI in devcontainer, it prompts which requirements.txt to use. There are 3 separate requirements.txt files to create virtual environment.

• https://github.com/jokob-sk/NetAlertX/blob/main/install/proxmox/requirements.txt

Expected Behavior

1 venv to rule them all https://github.com/jokob-sk/NetAlertX/blob/main/requirements.txt

Since these are used to create virtual environments using pip, there should be only one requirements.txt.

Those 3 requirements files are for 3 different environment setups. It would make sense that different environments have different requirements.

I think the Ubuntu and Proxmox ones are eventually going to be merged into one bare metal installer.

But there's only one python app in the venv being supported. They should all be the same. The system dependencies are handled by the system. The system supports pip, python, and venv in order to support NetAlertX Backend. If there is some variance in the venv per system that defeats the purpose of a venv.

yes there is a difference depending on your os ubuntu uses snap and arch and other os handle stuff differently. debain would have older version than arch and pipx would be better for the future to make thing easier

It should all be in the venv. Don't pull from OS for that very reason.
