Variables in Custom Properties

I want to add a link_new_tab property for a device without a static IP. Every once in a while this device will get a new IP and the Custom Property will point to nowhere.

Describe the solution you'd like

I want to use something like {{DEVICE_IP}} in the Argument field to have it always point to the devices current IP.

Describe alternatives you've considered

1. Not using Custom Properties for this device.
2. Giving the device a static IP. But this extends management of a system I don't want to manage since I do not need to access this device's web page on a daily basis.

Anything else?

Can you give me examples of properties you have created? Maybe with screenshots?
You can display the IP address of the device in the devices list as a column which generates http(s) links - is that not sufficient?
