IPv6 link-local address corruption

what the fuck is this?

• Host A has fe80::1111:2222:3333:4444
• Host B has fe80::a:b:c:d, on Hi3518, kernel 6.5.0
• Ping works as expected
• Host B: wget fe80::1111:2222:3333:4444%eth0
  • Source address in TCP packet (via Wireshark): ::a:b:c:d:0:0
  • connection doesn't work
